Description
Argpressin is the predominant form of mammalian antidiuretic hormone. Argpressin is a nonapeptide containing an ARGININE at residue 8 and two disulfide-linked CYSTEINES at residues of 1 and 6. Arg-vasopressin is used to treat diabetes insipidus or to improve vasomotor tone and blood pressure.
Application
It has important physiological functions in the body water reabsorption, vasoconstriction, adreno corticotropic (AC TH) secretion, memory, etc., and has the effects of raising blood pressure, resisting diuresis, participating in memory, limiting fever and promoting fever.
At the same time, it also has a wide range of cardiovascular effects, such as regulating water and sodium retention and vasoconstriction, directly regulating cardiomyocytes, participating in cardiac hypertrophy, myocardial fibrosis, and arrhythmia.
